This is currently postponed during the pandemic.  Everyone is invited to head to our Heritage Hall directly across from the Sanctuary after every regular, non-pandemic service at MUMC for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Coffee, water, juice and oftentimes cookies or cake are served. Catch up with your friends or find a new friend!

This is currently postponed during the pandemic. We also schedule numerous social activities for all in the church during the year. There are Game Nights, a hayrack ride in the fall, movie nights, and more. And our Cornerstones group schedules activities for those 60 and over all year long. See our calendar/newsletter for the latest information!

Baptism :: Baptism is available for any person of any age who has not been baptized before. The participant may choose between sprinkling and pouring at any of the weekend services. There is a 1/2 hour conversation with the pastor before the sacrament will be performed.

This is currently postponed during the pandemic. Confirmation :: Confirmation classes are usually held every other year for junior high school students who wish to explore, expand and confess their faith as they prepare to become responsible members of the church. Each new class is announced beforehand during the summer and parents can express their desire for the youth to participate.

New Members :: Our church typically accepts new members about two times per year. Prospective members are expected to attend one meeting to: meet other prospective members, learn about the church and the expectations of membership, and to ask questions.

Weddings :: Our church believes that the rites of weddings should be available to all. Membership in the Morrison UM Church is not a requirement. Several premarital classes with the pastor are required to be married in our building or by our pastor at another location. More information is available by contacting the church office.

Funerals :: Our church believes that the rites of funerals should be available to all. Membership in the Morrison UM Church is not a requirement. The pastor likes to sit down with the family to discuss the best way to celebrate a loved one’s life so that it is as personal as possible.

Youth Group :: Our church believes in the importance of young people. We have a youth group that is co-sponsored with First Presbyterian Church. We gather approximately monthly to do events and that are fun and/or missional. Contact the church office for more information.
